A primary school teacher who recently discovered garden design picked up a silver gilt medal for her work at the 2025 ΊωΒ«ΝήΚΣΖ΅ Show.

Laura White, 39, from Long Melford started a course at ΊωΒ«ΝήΚΣΖ΅ Rural in 2024.
During the programme, all students are asked to submit a design that they would like to create at the Trinity Park.

All of the designs were then put on the ΊωΒ«ΝήΚΣΖ΅ and ΊωΒ«ΝήΚΣΖ΅ Rural website for people to vote for their favourite – and staff and students picked Lauraβs work.
The keen artist got a flair for the creative when she purchased a former pub in Long Melford with her husband five years ago, that had a car park as an outdoor garden space.

And after winning the silver gilt at the show, her desire to succeed continues to blossom.
Laura said: βIβve learnt so much through the process and Iβm proud of the work that I achieved. I was delighted to pick up a silver gilt. This will only inspire me to keep working hard as I follow my passion.β
