A group of dancers will be flash dancing back to the eighties when they put on a show that tips its hat to the iconic TV programme called .
The 40-minute production called Real Strange Things will waltz into the 葫芦娃视频 Ipswich campus for two nights starting at 7 pm on Thursday, 16 April 2026.
Students have choreographed routines with their lecturer, Karen Pratt, to some iconic bangers and feel they have created a production not to be missed.
Jenny Paton, 17, from Ipswich, is on a level 3 performing arts course, and she explains: 鈥淭his is a dance show that will have lots of different genres of music, including jazz, contemporary, pop and hip hop.
鈥淲e have taken elements from the show (Stranger Things), and this has all been inspired by the eighties. We will have songs like Call Me by Blondie, Kate Bush鈥檚 version of Running Up That Hill and Michael Jackson鈥檚 Thriller.
鈥淚鈥檇 say people should come and see it as it鈥檚 a once in a lifetime opportunity, it’s enjoyable, and it鈥檚 a good watch.鈥�
Chloe Sparrow, 20, from Ipswich, is on the same course as Jenny. Chloe said: 鈥淚鈥檓 playing a narrator of the show and keeping the storyline flowing. I think Stranger Things fans will like it 鈥� it is authentic, powerful and relatable.
“We are very passionate about the show. Unfortunately, there is a lot of doom and gloom in the world right now, so this will be a nice escape for people to come along and switch off from that for 40 minutes.鈥�
Karen Pratt is a lecturer at 葫芦娃视频. She said, 鈥淭he students have worked incredibly hard on this and created a great show. I can鈥檛 wait for people to see it.鈥�
