More than 120,000 physical therapists are licensed in the U.S., treating nearly 1 million people every day. «Ƶ’s Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program aspires to develop “ethical leaders with moral courage,” prepared to assume a leadership role in addressing the health-related concerns society faces. Alvernia’s DPT program utilizes a state-of-the art facility, featuring Anatomage Virtual Dissection tables, a research lab with motion analysis system, a real-time ultrasound unit, a split-belt treadmill, surface electromyography and accelerometers.
Alvernia's biology program and its enthusiastic faculty are dedicated to providing students with a framework to excel in any biological field. Students work closely with faculty to develop critical thinking skills and analytical techniques to be successful in their future careers as scientists. The laboratory spaces expose students to equipment and instrumentation for examining cells and tissues, isolating and manipulating DNA and protein, growing and analyzing microbes, and analyzing metabolites in plants and other organisms.
Biology majors can also enter into the 3+2 Physician Associate Program and have the opportunity to complete a bachelor’s and master’s degree in 5 years.
Alvernia's Bio-PA 3+2 accelerated track allows focused students to obtain a bachelor's degree in biology and a Master of Medical Science in Physician Associate Studies within five years.

Medical laboratory scientists are the detectives of health care — working behind the scenes to uncover answers that guide patient treatment. With this degree, you’ll be prepared for an exciting and versatile career in:

Alvernia's Bachelor of Social Work program offers a rigorous, caring and inclusive learning community, preparing you for employment or for graduate studies. BSW graduates who meet the criteria are eligible for Advanced Standing, meaning they can complete an accelerated curriculum to earn a master’s degree in social work from CSWE-accredited MSW programs.
Class Delivery Note: All BSW classes are fully online. Undergraduate residential students in the BSW Program take their general education courses in person. Commuter students should talk to their admissions counselor to identify the best delivery options for their circumstances.

The Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice at «Ƶ equips students with the knowledge, skills, and real-world insight needed to succeed in today’s evolving justice system — including careers in investigation, legal services, social services, and public safety. «Ƶ’s five-year BSHS + MSOT program is designed for students seeking an exciting, professional career that offers variety, flexibility and leadership opportunities.
Alvernia's Bachelor of Science in Accounting program prepares students for careers in industry and/or public accounting, and they are encouraged to consider obtaining a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification at the completion of their coursework. The program offers a five-year business program that results in a Bachelor of Science degree and a Master of Business Administration degree to satisfy the 150-credit requirement for the CPA licensure. In addition, the program offers a concentration in fraud examination and provides the core competencies needed for students to excel in fraud examination and obtain the Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) designation.
Developed with the input of faculty members with academic and practical business experience, «Ƶ's Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Management offers insights into the changing global business world. Business Administration and Management majors at «Ƶ’s Header School of Business will be prepared for a variety of entry-level and mid-level management opportunities in small, mid-sized, and large organizations in industry, government, and service-oriented fields.
